Hunting Pixs  (Click On Individual Photos To Enlarge)

The following photos were mostly taken over the last five years (thanks to digital cameras!), although there are a few that date prior to that (scanners are nifty devices, too!).  We have always enjoyed hunting as a family, and as the photos show, no one in our family is left out.  Our duck and/or goose hunting has included hunting from duck boats, duck blinds, coffin blinds, wading in the timber, wading in cattail sloughs, standing or sitting along the shoreline, hiding in rocks, laying on the ground, and even belly crawling for a sneak attack or jump shoot.  We are fortunate to have enjoyed duck and/or goose hunting in Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Canada.  We have hunted over almost every size and type of water imaginable and over several different landscape settings.  Additionally, we have recently pheasant hunted in South Dakota.  Many friends have been made along the way, as the photos below indicate.  The stories that we have brought back from those hunts are priceless, and we hope to have many more in the future.

The following are from a Snow Goose hunt in Arkansas rice fields on March 3 & 4, 2006.  Nine of us hunted over four dogs.  We ran some blind contests with the dogs between the hunts which were won by Kim Smith's yellow lab, Liz.  We stayed at Kim's cabin, and were shown great hospitality by Kim and Fred Gates, the landowner and farmer, who cooked us chili and cheese dip in the afternoon and evening, eggs and bacon for breakfast, and snow geese for a Saturday night shindig.  A LARGE time was had by all!
