Flip is an eager and willing to please worker.   He is an easy to train dog requiring minimum pressure to succeed.  He is an excellent swimmer and he seems to try hard not to cheat on angle entries.  He has run competitively only four times to date: 2 AKC Field Trials at the Qualifying level (did not qualify), 1 Master Hunt test (did not qualify, but did very well as the youngest dog entered at the 2006 Specialty) and one WCX which he did qualify at.  He will return to Master Hunt Tests in 2007.  He has recently developed into a very good upland hunting dog, typically hunting close and quartering naturally. His marking ability is average. He excels on blind work and takes direction very well.

 

Flip is a big dog, but very agile and strong.  He has excellent bone and coat. His front and rear conformation are correct.  He could use more rear and front angulation and nevetheless, he does possess good side movement.  He is a handsome, very male-looking dog.  He will return to the conformation ring in 2007.       Doris Ehret
