When Kindle arrived I was thrilled.  Here was this tiny pup, fresh off a long airplane ride, who literally bounced out of her crate with a happy canine smile and bright, shinning eyes.  She was a little firecracker who was overjoyed to have arrived.  The thing that impressed me the most was her immediate eye contact.  To date she hasn’t taken her eyes off me yet!  Kindle is a wonderful, attentive little girl.

 I’ve decided I should have called her ‘tigger’ as she bounces up and down, easily getting above a six-foot fence in a vertical leap.  She’s not trying to get over, just bouncing for the joy of it.  She is a real people-dog and will greet anyone I let her, with a leap up to give them a kiss in the face.  Kindle has grown up with a gaggle of English-Cockers and she believes she’s a lap dog, though when she gets into your lap she’s constantly wiggling to get closer.  Her tongue is a dangerous weapon!

She’s nearly two now, but has yet to start her show career.  I’m waiting for her to mature before entering her in conformation, but she’s already started her obedience.  She has her novice title already and she’s got a solid understanding of her open work with a smattering of utility work thrown in for good measure.  At this time, we have chosen to put her fieldwork on the back burner, but watch out for her in obedience!  She’s assuredly one of the best heelers I’ve ever trained.
