Porter, named after the Johnny Cash song, "Hey Porter," about a man headed back South.

Porter is doing great!  She has a very gentle personality but loves playing with other dogs.  She's taken to the water and must be able to smell it as she has an uncanny way of finding and jumping in anything that will get her wet.  She also likes to dip her whole head underwater sometimes, which I'd never seen before.  And watch out, if she can find a way, she's not opposed to sticking her head in to join you in the shower.  She goes running on trails with me and, when she wants to, moves more like a little gazelle than a pup - and incredibly agile.  In the house though, it's tough to get her to lie anywhere but on top of you.  She's an incredibly cuddly dog and loves people.

She's on the small side, maybe 35 lbs and about 16-18 inches at the back.  I think she's getting a complex though because not many dogs hear, "she's so beautiful," as often as little Porter.          Blake Clifton
